Inpatient services

Inpatient services are for patients who need to be admitted to the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre for treatment, and are cared for at an inpatient unit at this hospital.

Our inpatient units promote an environment of patient and family-centred care, which encourages parents and families to participate in the child’s care as much as possible.

Eastern Health encourages families to be prepared, if possible, for their child’s stay in hospital. Be sure to ask your health-care provider any questions you may have.

Please become familiar with Eastern Health’s visitation policies before visiting an inpatient unit. The public is asked not to visit any of the inpatient units if they feel ill or are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.
