Child development team
The child development program offers comprehensive services for children with physical, development and learning challenges. The child development team follows children with developmental challenges.
What we do
We provide services for the following developmental challenges such as:
- Global developmental delay
- Intellectual delay
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Attention deficit disorder (ADD)
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Behaviour challenges
- Communication disorders
- Neurodevelopmental disorders
Child development staff support children and their families through regular assessments, interventions, and community and school support.
Who we see
We provide care for children and youth with developmental challenges up to their 18th birthday.

How to access this service
Referrals for the child development team are accepted from school personnel, family doctors, community health nurses, child management specialists, and behaviour management specialists.
Please contact your physician or health-care provider to make a referral and to complete the Child Development Referral Form (PDF).
