Ear, nose and throat (ENT) clinic
The Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre offers ear, nose and throat (ENT) medical services through our ambulatory clinics. The ENT clinic provides care to children and youth requiring elective or emergent treatment of medical concerns of the ears, nose and throat.
What we do
ENT specialists treat medical concerns of the ears, nose, and throat including, but not limited to:
- Ear infections
- Hearing loss
- Difficulty swallowing
- Sleep apnea
- Allergies
- Sinusitis
- Tonsillitis
- Speech delay
- Infections or tumors of the head or neck
- Congenital disorders of the head and neck, such as a cleft palate
Based on your child’s assessment, they may need an X-ray, throat swab, cleaning of their ears, hearing test, scope or biopsy as part of their clinic appointment.
If surgery is suggested as a treatment for your child, before you leave the clinic, you and your child will receive more information about the preparation for surgery.
