Outpatient services (children’s clinics)

The Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre offers outpatient services through ambulatory children’s health clinics and individual appointments with health-care professionals.

Based on your child’s assessment, they may need an X-ray, blood work, urine or stool samples, swab, or biopsy as part of their clinical appointment.

Your child may also receive support through individual appointments with health-care professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and dietitians.

Outpatient services include the following:

Acute care physiotherapy
Cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal and neurology
Adolescent medicine
Involves the biological, psychological, and social development of teens
Allergy and immunology clinic
Treatment of children and youth with allergies
Asthma
Prevention, management and education for those with asthma
Bleeding disorders program
Primary hemophilia treatment centre
Cardiology clinic
Testing and medical care for children's hearts
CAYAC clinic
For the health needs of children/youth in alternate care
Craniofacial and cleft team
Care to children with a cleft lip and/or palate and other differences
Cystic Fibrosis program
A team approach for the management of this chronic disease
Diabetes outreach services
For children and youth living with Type 1 diabetes mellitus
Ear, nose and throat (ENT) clinic
Treatment of medical concerns of the ears, nose, and throat
Endocrinology
Concerns effecting their endocrine (hormone) system.
Eye clinic
Provides care to children requiring elective or emergent treatments
Gastroenterology program
For concerns effecting their gastrointestinal (GI) system
Gender wellness clinic
For transgender and gender non-binary children
Janeway Lifestyle Program
A healthy lifestyle through education, intervention, and FUN
Medical day care
Treats children with a wide variety of conditions
Nephrology
Services for concerns effecting their kidney function
Pediatric neurology
Care for children with neurological conditions
Pediatric Neurosurgery
Neuropsychological assessments for children and youth
Orthopedic program
Medical concerns affecting the musculoskeletal system
Plastics clinic
Plastic surgery services for children and youth
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) program
Services for this virus that infects the lungs and airways
Rheumatology
Treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
Surgical clinic
